THE HORIZONTAL AXIS · RIGHT
Touch / near-touch
Breaking the other's harmony — not knocking him out.
A touch to the trunk or the face throws the adversary into involuntary, disordered, asynchronous movements. But — the decisive difference from boxing — the knockout is not the goal: what must break is his harmony with the music. The touch reveals that the touched player has lost his mandinga.
IN THE SYSTEM
→ Simulacrum — The feint — touching is not playing.
→ Continuous flow — An insurmountable rule: never leaving the rhythm.
IN THE CORPUS
→ Winning by Falling, Touching Without Touching
