The concepts

The Black combat arts call for their own concepts. Some ground their identity, the tradition of innovation, Black creolisation, réexistence, destructive recognition: the philosophical and socio-historical concepts that say what these arts are and how history has treated them. Others describe the game itself, rhythm, co-opposition, the imbalances, the simulacrum, the flow: the praxeological concepts that name their internal logic. Together, they form the conceptual framework of the field. Each concept links to its neighbours and to the article that embodies it.
