A PARADOXICAL PRINCIPLE · INTERMITTENT

The unequal start

The game does not begin from equality.

The exchange is structurally barred from beginning in equality: one of the protagonists objectively possesses more chances of achieving his aim than the other — a dissymmetry built into its very start, and the game is the negotiation of that imposed gap. Not an accident of a given bout — a rule of the form. A game within the game, activating in the moments that stage this inequality.

IN THE SYSTEM

→ Role dissociation — The players do not play symmetrical roles.

→ The invitation to rupture — The offered breach — not a ruse, but a rule of the game.

IN THE CORPUS

→ Winning by Falling, Touching Without Touching
